Suzanne Edmonds


Square Peg was founded in 2012 by Suzanne Edmonds after working in the industry for some 20 years. 10 years within East Lancashire being an Accrington lass, followed by 10 years of living and working in the heart of Manchester City Centre. An experienced and well established Recruitment specialist, her personality and love of networking drives the Square Peg brand for a successful future. Recruitment is a people based business and Suzanne simply – gets people.

For her it’s about passion, good old fashioned honesty, transparency and a lot of hard work. She goes the extra mile to ease the recruitment process for her customers and is committed to maintain high standards and reputation.

She makes time for her young son and family, three peak challenges and socialising. She also loves to travel, having explored Asia and South Africa but is also just as very happy with a bucket and spade and croissants in France!

I am so happy to have joined the Square Peg family, having spent the last couple of years in Australia working in sales until  I decided to come back to the amazing British weather and settle down. I also travelled across South East Asia, Central America and Colombia. Along the way I have learnt how much I love to meet new people, and build lasting relationships with people from every background imaginable. Which is exactly what recruitment is all about.

Coming back to the U.K I knew I had to choose a career and not just a job. For me it is important to love Mondays.

It is hard to explain just how great it makes me feel to place someone in their dream job, and also to seek out a superstar candidate for a business and in turn, creating a lasting relationship with them both.

My biggest Interests outside of work are snooker and enjoying craft ales from around the world. (oh and of course trying my best not to go up a notch on my belt by attending the gym from time to time).

I am 8 years into my Recruiting career with over 2.5 years at Square Peg Associates. It feels like home here with a great team around me.  I began my career as a Recruitment Resourcer , worked my way up to an Account Manager and I now oversee the Candidate side to ensure that the quality control and standards are  adhered to.  I am the organised one, who keeps all the CRM systems up to date and on track.

I am passionate about providing the best service to both candidates and clients, I aim to know as much as possible about our clients so I know who and what they want every time.

Outside of work, I am a proud mum to my gorgeous son Freddie, I enjoy relaxing and watching the latest movies. I have a love for Italian food and anything which involves cheese. You will always find me tasting new ciders, Old Mout being a fave right now.

I first came to Square Peg for advice on interviews and application writing, with the intentions of getting a job as Cabin Crew for an airline. Suzanne saw something in me and asked if I would like to use my bubbly personality, customer service and administration skills within Square Peg Associates.

Two weeks later, I was working alongside a professional, friendly and upbeat team and given offsite training to learn the accounts side too. I have never looked back. I thoroughly enjoy offering my support within office administration as well as recruitment resourcing, aiming to always deliver high quality customer service with a winning smile.

I love fine dining & wining, music concerts/festivals, musical theatre and travelling. I aspire to visit as many places as I possibly can during my life.

For my 21st birthday, I spent a weekend in Prague with some of my favourite friends and I love to visit Thailand to see my family.

I first met Suzanne in October 2014 as her Business Coach and Mentor. Having spent the previous 18 years in Senior Management and Director roles, building successful teams, I quickly realised Suzanne had the right values when it comes to providing recruitment services to her clients.

Today, I am proud to be associated with Suzanne and her team at Square Peg Associates. My role still sees me support Suzanne on the vision, direction and strategy for the business as well as supporting her build a happy, motivated and productive team and representing the business at various event and networking.

I am also pleased to work with Square Peg clients on their People Strategies. I am passionate about understanding your business culture, how you create the right environment for your people to thrive and succeed and understanding your ambitions.  Attracting and retaining the right people starts here for me.

When I am not working with Suzanne and the team, I continue some work with other business clients. When not working, I love to cook, having worked in the food industry and hospitality for 25 years rubs off on you! Also love the outdoors and travel and spending time with my family as much as I can.
