Role: Business Development (I.T services)
Salary: 25k Basic + 60k OTE
Our client specialises in providing business IT solutions to companies throughout the North West and London. Our client has gone from strength to strength and is now looking for an experienced new business sales professional to help expand, grow and be a part of this company's success.
Working closely with the Managing Director you will be expected to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities over the full portfolio of Managed Services, I.T. Support, Networks, Cloud Services, Servers, Virtualisation and Storage. Knowledge of I.T. and Cloud based Systems will be required although you will also have full support from the technical team. We are more focused on your ability to generate new business within the IT field.
The opportunities to grow, develop and earn a good level of commission are on offer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Solutions Sales, help-desk, desktop and enterprise level solutions with a proven track record of success.
The successful candidate will be based in Manchester and would be expected to travel regularly across the Greater Manchester area and to London on occasions.
Proactively research, prospect and conduct outbound cold calls to generate new business
Responsible for answering and evaluating prospective customer Inbound enquiries
Appropriately qualify new leads and take ownership to move them forward
Developing and managing of new business opportunities
Working to targets and KPI's in a busy yet smart manner
Conduct email marketing campaigns
Managing prospects through the sales process
Actively promoting the business by attending regular networking events and seminars
Appointment setting and visiting businesses in person / field sales
Proven track record selling IT solutions and/or Managed Services into the SMB space
Well versed with dealing with people at all levels, including Director / Management level and decision makers
A background in a technical / pre-sales role, gained within the IT support and services sector
Demonstrable experience of working to targets within a I.T Sales role
Good working knowledge of network systems and associated hardware
A self-starter, able to drive and manage their own campaigns and activities
Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Numerate and IT literate
Exceptional time management skills as you would need to manage your own work load
Solid understanding of what an efficient technology system looks like
Be knowledgeable and enthuse passion for the product you are promoting.
Be a credible and trusted source of industry and product information for customers
Show determination to achieve goals and hit targets
You must be able to devise a strategic plan for your first 3 months within the role so you can hit the ground running.
Holder of a driver’s licence
Own car would be required initially
