Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant - Blackburn

Job Summary & Responsibilities

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant /Assistant Management Account / Part Qualified Management Accountant to jointheir team in a fast-growing Financial Organisation on a permanent, full timebasis with the opportunity of study support.

JobResponsibilities:

Managementof Accounts

  •          Preparationof Monthly Management Accounts Pack
  •          Preparationof Consolidated Management Accounts
  •          Preparationof Key Performance Indicators
  •          Preparationof all Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  •          Preparationof all working papers/schedules
  •          Toreconcile all Intercompany Accounts
  •          Tomaintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register

AnnualReport & Accounts

  •          Toassist in the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts for allSubsidiaries, in a highly time pressured environment
  •          Toassist in the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts for the Group ona consolidated basis
  •          Toassist in the year-end Audit, providing support to the FC and leading theday-to-day engagement

 

Budgeting& Forecasting

  •          Toassist in the preparation of the Corporate Plan for all Subsidiaries and Group
  •          Todesign, develop and prepare Budget Holder Reports
  •          Toprepare monthly flash forecasts for each subsidiaries and the Group

Cashflow

  •          Tomonitor and update the cash-flow model, daily for all entities 
  •          Toreport on the daily cash-flow position of each entity and Group in its entirety
  •          Toreport on the intra-daily liquidity

Tax

  •          Toprepare Corporation Tax in accordance with the appropriate legislation for eachSubsidiary and the Group for submission to the Group FC
  •          Toundertake VAT calculations quarterly for submission under Partial ExemptionRules
  •          Tomaintain all appropriate records in accordance with the appropriate legislation

BankReconciliations

  •          Tooversee all Bank Reconciliations for each entity and Group
  •          Toensure all banks are reconciled in full, daily
  •          Toensure all transactions are posted with supporting documentation and evidence

SalesLedger

  •          Toensure all Sales Invoices are raised in an accurate and timely manner
  •          Toissue customers with weekly statements, and copy invoices for overdue accounts
  •          Tomanage all customer queries, and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner
  •          Toensure all Sales Invoices are settled in accordance with the Policy Statements
  •          Toreport on all Accounts with Balances outstanding over 30 + days to the Group FCon a weekly basis

PurchaseLedger

  •          Tooversee the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring all invoices are registered inaccordance with the Purchasing Policy Statement
  •          Toensure payments are made in a timely manner and in accordance with supplierpayment terms

 

PersonSpecification:

  • You must be Part Qualified – CIMA/ACCA
  • 5 years’ experience within an AccountingBackground
  • Experience within Financial Services isdesirable
  • Experience working within a Group Structure andfamiliar within intercompany accounting
  • Technical understanding of partial exemptionrules
