Job Summary & Responsibilities

A highly reputable and customer led IFA practice is seeking an experienced Workplace Pensions / Suitability Report Writer / Paraplanner to join a well established and continually growing team based in Bury.
Main responsibilities:
  • Previous experience of suitability report writing is required from an IFA background
  • The role involves preparation of Suitability Reports and Executive Summaries covering a range of products, particularly, investments and pensions, including drawdown and pension switches
  • The individual should therefore ideally have a good level of technical knowledge, particularly in relation to pension and investment products
  • The individual will be required to assist in carrying out research for clients and therefore previous experience of research software such as O&M Pension Profiler, SelectaPension , Distribution Technology or similar would be an advantage
  • Collating plan information and obtaining illustrations will also be a part of the role and therefore familiarity with quotation systems and obtaining illustrations from various investment platforms would also be an advantage
  • The individual will also be required to assist in ensuring that the client files are compliant
  • To take ownership of technical queries arising from pension clients and deliver a high level of customer service
  • We require someone who is keen, able to work as part of a team and who will complete the work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
We are looking for someone who is able to deliver:
  • Quality of reports and suitability letters issued to clients
  • Quality of service delivery
  • Volume of work and activity successfully completed
  • Retention of current clients
Skills:
  • Proven experience in undertaking research and preparing pension reports and suitability letters
  • Competent knowledge of Group Personal Pensions
  • Self Motivation and working on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills both written and orally in person
  • Planning and organisation
  • Maintaining a positive "can do" attitude
  • Self discipline to meet all deadlines and to consistently exceed the clients' expectations
