Accounts Semi Senior - Blackburn

The salary for an AAT Qualified person is negotiable and dependent upon the level of hands-on experience you bring.
The day to day role will be office based focussing on processing client accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies along with the preparation of VAT returns, statutory and management accounts and corporation tax. Working within a busy department the role requires good communication skills and the ability to multi task and complete assignments to a deadline. The ideal candidate will have relevant previous experience in a similar role, and will have completed their AAT qualification.
The Accounts Semi Senior will be responsible for:
  • Accounts preparation to Trial Balance
  • Preparing, completing, submitting monthly VAT returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Liaison with clients, resolving any account queries
  • Various bookkeeping duties
  • Adding client records onto Xero and Sage software
  • Preparing and submitting Tax Returns
  • Liaising with the HMRC to resolve any issues that may occur
  • Liaising with other departments to assure smooth and efficient year end preparation
The Ideal Accounts Semi Senior:
  • 2 years' plus experience in public practice.
  • AAT qualified or ACCA Part Qualified.
  • Experience preparing draft year-end accounts for manager review.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and accounting software programmes such as Sage, QuickBooks and Xero Accounts.
