Our client is a long-established and reputable Law firm based in Bolton; a position has arisen for an experienced Billings Clerk to work within their busy Billing Department.
Preparation of claims using their claims management system
Preparation of Bills of Cost relating to the proceedings stage and Crown Court proceedings and claims for interim disbursements
Producing fee claims on a range of cases from Magistrates Court to Court of Appeal
Processing the reminder cycle for outstanding fees and missing billing instructions
Liaising with Counsel and Experts in relation to invoices and claims
Billing prosecution and defence graduated fee claims
Chasing solicitors for their billing details
Processing payments and lodging cheques at the bank
General administrative tasks
Knowledge and experience of fees and billing is essential
Experience of Legal Aid is preferred
You must have strong attention to detail
