Our client is a long-established and reputable Law firm based in Bolton; a position has arisen for an experienced Billings Clerk to work within their busy Billing Department.
Job Duties:
  • Preparation of claims using their claims management system
  • Preparation of Bills of Cost relating to the proceedings stage and Crown Court proceedings and claims for interim disbursements
  • Producing fee claims on a range of cases from Magistrates Court to Court of Appeal
  • Processing the reminder cycle for outstanding fees and missing billing instructions
  • Liaising with Counsel and Experts in relation to invoices and claims
  • Billing prosecution and defence graduated fee claims
  • Chasing solicitors for their billing details
  • Processing payments and lodging cheques at the bank
  • General administrative tasks
About You:
  • Knowledge and experience of fees and billing is essential
  • Experience of Legal Aid is preferred
  • You must have strong attention to detail
